Chapter 65

AI, VERY USEFUL KNOWLEDGE

by: josavere

SLEEP VERY WELL:

Make it a priority, releasing the tension of the day; eat early and very lightly at night. Finish caffeinated or alcoholic drinks hours before going to bed.

Leave work and daily responsibilities alone; no screen time an hour before bed; self-control. No checking email, paying bills, doing chores, or looking at social media. Find a way to relax with a book, enjoy a festive activity, or spend time with loved ones.

Breathing slowly and deeply. Simply slowing down your breathing; warming up parts of your body, especially your hands and feet; trying a hot water bottle or socks while sleeping, and making sure you don't have more blankets on your bed than you need for the night ahead.

Doing abdominal breathing. One hand on the chest and the other under the rib cage; you should feel the hand on the belly rise, the other hand on the chest remains relatively still.

It's a great way to calm yourself down if you're having trouble falling asleep or if you woke up with a racing mind in the middle of the night.

Get up at the same time every day and go out into the morning light.

The time we get up in the morning has a greater influence on our biological clock than the time we go to bed: melatonin tells the body that the day has begun.

A morning cue will start a cascade of events so that about twelve hours later, melatonin begins to rise, for deep rest.

The best thing to do if you can't sleep  is to get up! It's one of the most effective and widely used methods in sleep therapy.

It's about making the bed a peaceful place again, and making the mind associate the bed with sleep. Be patient!

Reduce naps: the idea is to increase the 'sleep pressure' so that nighttime is unavoidable and the bed is used only for sleeping.

Adults tend to need about 7 to 9 hours a night. Waking up in the middle of the night for a little while  isn't so bad.Don't look at the clocks at night, don't worry about how much you sleep. Your body will keep you informed.

If you fall asleep while doing activities during the day, you may need to get some more sleep!

USING AI:

AI is an excellent tool for pooling the total intelligence of the collective and making it available to those who eventually need it.We are people with very limited knowledge and many gaps, but the collective, properly organized, will come to constitute a mass that, due to its magnitude, requires storage in the Internet of the clouds.

The  Internet, or cloud computing , is a technology that has revolutionized the way we store and access data and applications. It offers flexibility, access from anywhere, and cost savings by eliminating the need to manage physical servers because the cloud allows us to access files and applications from almost any device.

By running many virtual machines at once, a server becomes many “servers,” and a data center becomes a complete host, capable of serving many organizations . This is possible thanks to a technology called  virtualization , which allows you to create  virtual machines — simulated and digital — that behave as if they were physical computers with their own hardware. Virtual machines are separate from each other and efficiently use the hardware of the server that hosts them; it’s like having a world of data and applications at your fingertips.

By grouping knowledge with a sense of solidarity, an enormous potential for management becomes available, remembering that we are responsible for what the machines do because we will always be the programmers, and as such, responsible for their correct use in a hyperconnected world. The plots are not a substitute for human effort and even less for critical analysis.

Considering the magnitude of the Internet of the   Clouds that would be needed to accumulate   knowledge from more than eight billion inhabitants, including them, they can contribute to that base   with many expectations of growth, seeking to make knowledge free for all, as a principle of equality, regardless of sociocultural and economic conditions, in order to solve the great problem and obstacle to peace and economic development that we have with the concentration of income   and wealth, currently measured with the  Gini coefficient to know the degree of concentration. A great effort is urgently needed to educate the new generations for its responsible use because AI can create ideas and make decisions .

Making “your food your medicine and your medicine your food”

The phrase "Let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food" is attributed to the ancient Greek physician Hippocrates, who is considered the father of Western medicine. However, there is no direct source confirming that these words were actually spoken by him in that exact form.

The phrase is found in his work "Aphorisms" and is interpreted as an exhortation to the importance of a healthy diet to maintain health and prevent diseases. Throughout history, this phrase has been taken up and popularized by various doctors, nutritionists and advocates of natural and holistic medicine.

In terms of credibility, the idea that diet can influence health is widely accepted in the medical and scientific realm. Diet plays a key role in the prevention and treatment of numerous diseases, from heart problems to diabetes and cancer. So, while the phrase itself cannot be directly verified as coming from Hippocrates, its message remains relevant and supported by modern scientific evidence.

The phrase “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food” takes on even greater relevance. Here are some ways this idea could be expanded and applied in contemporary society, using AI , an excellent tool for pooling the total intelligence of the collective and making it available to those who eventually need it.We are people with very limited knowledge and many gaps, but the collective, properly organized, will come to constitute a mass that, due to its magnitude, requires storage in the Internet of the clouds.

LEARNING TO USE AI FOR FAMILY BENEFIT:

There are  many ways artificial intelligence (AI) can be harnessed to benefit families. The key is to identify specific needs and find solutions that address them; some ideas:

Home automation: Using AI systems to control lights, thermostats, security systems, and other devices in the home, optimizing energy use and improving security; specific technologies, such as motion sensors that activate lights or smart security cameras that send alerts when they detect suspicious activity.

Virtual Assistants: Siri, Google Assistant, or Alexa can help organize family calendars, remind you of appointments and shopping lists, play music, and answer quick questions. Use a virtual assistant to set up personalized reminders for important family events or add items to your shopping list while you cook.

Health and wellness apps: With AI apps to monitor family fitness, nutrition, and sleep, some apps can provide personalized advice to improve health and wellness. Popular apps offer personalized advice to improve health, such as fitness tracking apps or guided meditation errands.

Personalized Education: With AI platforms that offer personalized educational programs for children and adults, they can adapt to the learning pace and individual interests of each family member with platforms that adjust the learning pace with usage recommendation algorithms to personalize the learning experience and individualized feedback to improve understanding of concepts.

Entertainment: Streaming platforms and AI-powered content recommendations find movies, TV shows, and books that fit each family member’s interests with recommendation algorithms to personalize the entertainment experience.

Elderly care: AI-powered personal assistance devices remind seniors to take medication, stay in touch with family members, and get help in emergencies to improve their quality of life and reassure their families.

The  Internet, or cloud computing , is a technology that has revolutionized the way we store and access data and applications. It offers flexibility, access from anywhere, and cost savings by eliminating the need to manage physical servers because the cloud allows us to access files and applications from almost any device.

Nutrition Knowledge : In the information age, we have access to an unprecedented amount of nutrition and health information, allowing us to better understand how foods affect our bodies and minds and reminding us of the importance of leveraging this knowledge to choose foods that promote health and well-being.

Disease prevention : With a deeper understanding of how diet can prevent disease, the phrase urges us to take a proactive approach to our health. Instead of relying solely on drugs to treat illnesses once they appear, we can use diet as a preventative tool to reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes, obesity, and heart disease.

Sustainability : In the context of environmental concerns and sustainability, the phrase encourages us to consider not only how food affects our individual health, but also how it impacts the planet. Opting for a plant-based diet and sustainably produced foods can not only benefit our health, but also reduce our ecological footprint and promote the health of the planet as a whole.

Food Consciousness : In a world filled with food choices, the phrase invites us to be more conscious of what we eat. It challenges us to think about how our eating habits affect not only our personal health, but also the health of our community and the world at large. By cultivating greater food consciousness, we can make more informed and ethical decisions about our diet.

In short, in such an informed world, the phrase “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food” reminds us of the importance of using our knowledge of nutrition to promote health and well-being, both individually and globally. It urges us to be conscious of our food choices and recognize the power they have to influence our health and the world around us.

Large multinationals in the pharmaceutical and concentrated food sectors are likely to have a variety of reactions to the idea of “food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food” – these could vary depending on factors such as business strategy, market perception and regulatory pressures – and will likely seek to adapt to changing market trends and demands around health and nutrition. Their response could vary depending on how they perceive these trends and how they align with their long-term business objectives.

Interest in innovation : Some companies may see the trend toward greater awareness of the relationship between diet and health as an opportunity for innovation. They could invest in developing functional foods or dietary supplements that offer specific health benefits, such as strengthening the immune system or improving cardiovascular health.

Competition and restructuring : Pharmaceutical and concentrated food companies could face increased competition as consumers look for natural alternatives to maintain their health. This could lead to a restructuring in the way these companies operate, focusing more on the quality of ingredients and promoting products that are perceived as healthy.

Lobbying and public relations : Some companies may seek to influence legislation and public policy to protect their business interests. They may engage in lobbying activities to promote regulations that favor their products or to resist regulations that promote greater transparency in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

Education and marketing : Companies could step up their marketing and education efforts to influence consumer perceptions of the relationship between diet and health. They could launch advertising campaigns highlighting the health benefits of their products or collaborate with health professionals to promote messages supporting the use of medications alongside a balanced diet.
