Chapter 3
PHILOSOPHY TO MANAGE
by: Josavere
We can consider a country as a macro-company with objectives oriented towards the search for the common good and human development, with people of very different potentials and many variables of all kinds, which makes its management very complex and as such requires great characterized leaders, among others for his intelligence, service capacity, honesty, empathy, credibility, conviction, communication skills, decision, patience, and tolerance but with firmness in his purposes, in addition to academic knowledge and a high level of emotional intelligence.
In the world, we have a wide range of variation in the levels of human development with very advanced countries and others that are too backward as a consequence of their natural wealth and their governments, as can be seen by analyzing the generally accepted indicators in:
The report of the famous Argentine economist, professor, and writer, Bernardo Kliksberg on the Nordic economies tells us that the highest indicators of human development occur in Norway, Finland, Sweden, Iceland, and Denmark, countries with a hostile climate for humans, located at the Northern Europe, in the Scandinavian Peninsula and with many characteristics in common, among them, a shared identity and values, as well as very close cultural and historical ties that today have achieved unprecedented levels of development with equity. They are very transparent and educated people who not many years ago were looking for work in other European countries.
They respect and give full support to families; they function based on a pact between the rulers and the ruled with broad participation, based on the search for equality, through high taxation used with all rectitude in free education at all levels, including postgraduate university degrees, health, transportation with great comfort. and mobility, dignified treatment, and general well-being, with individual advancement.
In this area, there is no crime or poverty and young people have education and work, so few police officers are needed.
Regarding business management, the model is one of co-management, without discrimination against women and with very low salary differences for the few levels of authority that they use; they focus on technology to sell productivity (not products) and condemn the politics of fear, consisting of keeping the human group threatened, replacing it with permanent ethical discussion.
They are large producers of wind energy, immensely respectful of sustainability, and leaders in corporate social responsibility (CSR) with great support in education, capacity development, and opportunities for all.

KANT AND THE HUMAN RESOURCE
The great German philosopher teaches us that all human beings have a potential for development that is based on freedom, a faculty that we must jealously guard, and that for no reason we can allow ourselves to be taken away from anyone. Individual responsibility consists of knowing oneself, reaching their maximum potential and acting correctly, doing good for being good, contributing to the benefit of humanity, through reason and responsible work that allows us the best use of the time, respecting the rest of days to regain energy.
The human being is the center of his philosophy and as such, beings should not be treated as simple means, taking into account that each one is an end in itself, whose purpose is to achieve maximum perfection. Each has its own absolute moral value, and its dignity must be protected at all costs on the basis that reason is the root of morality.
The reasoning consists of thinking by ordering the ideas and concepts to reach a conclusion. It is important to teach people to think; until now, very little has been done because in the traditional system, based on taxing and memorizing, it is believed that we all know how to do it spontaneously like breathing or walking.
It is up to governments, the educational system, and society in general, to complement logical reasoning with lateral or parallel thinking, implemented by Edward de Bono to learn to use a greater potential of the brain that until now has been wasted.
"No one can force me to be happy in his own way (just as he imagines the well-being of other men), but it is permissible for each one to seek his happiness in the way that he thinks best, as long as it does not harm the freedom of others to pursue a similar end, the freedom that can coexist with the freedom of all according to a possible universal law (that is, coexist with that right of the other) "(Kant, Ak. VIII, 290)
At work, when interacting with human beings, we must facilitate their development through work and not use them as a means to achieve what we want. Kitimbwa Lukangakye, a humanist from the Congo says that both the employer and the worker are first people in search of growth; they need each other and must see each other as brothers to interact with common goals while each one preserves his or her role.

Kant invites us to live with humanity, without lies, deception, or violence for the employer or for others, considering all of us as beings with individual potentials. The great promoter of freedom, which he defines as when we act with the best intentions and slaves when we do so under the control of our passions or those of others. Every human being has an essential dignity that cannot be trampled on for any reason; freedom related to the right to control one's own acts by reasoning, regardless of feelings, is a prerequisite for any human development and to catapult its possibilities. Freedom is the faculty that extends all the others and that forces us to fight against all kinds of tyranny because it is an inseparable attribute of human dignity. The liberator, Simón Bolívar, said at the Cúcuta congress in 1821: "I want to be a citizen to be free and for others to be free." It is not a state without authority, but a government that protects people to become an actor to improve the world by enforcing human rights, including all minority groups.
«Freedom, Sancho, is one of the most precious gifts that the heavens gave to men; with it the treasures that the earth holds and the sea cannot be equaled; for freedom, as well as for honor, one can and must venture life, and, on the contrary, captivity is the greatest evil that can come to men »(II, Chapter 58).
According to Kant, we can know the heart of a man by his treatment of animals because his reasoning capacity is limited; they need us to care for them as his mentors. All the more reason, we must help others to improve their weaknesses and recognize, value, promote and take advantage of their strengths for the benefit of communities and, in general, society, facilitating teamwork, the clearest way to increase productivity, taking advantage of technology and other administrative tools under the direction of authentic leaders capable of maintaining the joy of the group as a contagious collective.
Such valuable lessons lead us to reconsider human resources in companies. It is an axiomatic principle: we refer to the most valuable of all assets that institutions can and should value as an intangible that is valid with the company in progress and that, in the event of a failure, becomes the first liability to be liquidated.
Although from a practical point of view, it is an asset for the company, it differs from all the others in that the organization has no claim power over it, because human beings have the freedom to choose where they want to work, especially when they deal with highly qualified people.
Business-speaking, individually, nobody has value; It is worth the group properly integrated and well-led by someone capable of maintaining a sufficient degree of integration that constitutes them in a team with a high degree of motivation permanently involved in the search for the mission and vision, respecting the principles and values of the particular company.
The team must, among other activities, develop its own decision-making model; provide the opportunity for everyone to participate, with the obvious responsibility that they must assume, and carry out periodic monitoring that requires the taking of corrective actions, using the appropriate indicators.
Despite the complexity of the matter, there are countries and sky cities1, in which it is easier to find the facilitators of happiness, which are found within each person and are reflected in the price of real estate, where The wealth effect is clearly noticeable, the one that makes citizens gladly pay their taxes without any cheating.
A great challenge for the world's entrepreneurs is to develop sky companies, with business designs where people feel treated with respect and find sufficient reasons to feel the joy of belonging to the organization and give their best, joining the great objective with its full potential, always assuming a positive attitude. Thus, the foundations are laid to achieve the most valuable mechanism to increase productivity: the happiness of the group, making it a contagious collective.
Obviously, it is much easier to reach sky companies in countries that are; in a backward country, it is practically impossible. The pacts of the political class and businessmen with citizen participation are required so that the former is honest and the others pay their taxes correctly, having full confidence that they will be used with all transparency, prioritizing education, health, and public services.

Let us remember that education is the best social investment, starting with children, who have to eat very well in order to develop, especially in the first years of life, as Dn Reinaldo Arroyave Lopera insisted with the CEPAS foundation; health is the first principle of life to avoid suffering or causing suffering; without adequate public services, it is impossible to achieve efficiency.
With the Internet, abundant information is guaranteed for everyone, facilitating knowledge regardless of social class or economic capacity. The important thing besides handling the device is learning to think to know what to ask and what kind of information is required in the midst of so much abundance; mastering the appropriate models to pose the particular issue and to interpret the solutions. Governments have the unavoidable commitment to promoting such a valuable tool that facilitates learning, regardless of geographical location, equalizing the rural and urban sectors for educational and work-at-home purposes and also, permanently updating the regulations that guarantee the quality and veracity of the information available and in the same way, the protection of the privacy of the users, especially that of minors.
